Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great break from the hustle and bustle and are ready to jump into 2011 full speed. Just a few notes about what we have to look forward to in the coming months:
- 9 more pep band appearances at the boys/girls basketball game----remember to check the schedule to see when you play and remember to fill out a sub-sheet if necessary.
- Rebecca Worthington will be playing horn in the IMEA All State Band January 27-29 at the Peoria Civic Center. Congrats to Becca!
- IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest is Saturday, March 5 at Rushville.
- The 2nd annual music in our schools concert will be held in the RIHS gym at 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 12. This involves instrumental students in grades 5 - 12.
- IESA Solo and Ensemble Contest (select 6th, 7th, 8th) is Saturday, April 2 at Rushville.
- IHSA Organizational Contest for the HS band will be held on Saturday, April 16 at Macomb High School.
- IESA Organizational Contest (All 7th & 8th) will be held at Macomb Jr. High School on April 29 or April 30.
- Tentative Spring Concert dates are as follows: High School-May 10; Grades 6-8-May 12; Jazz -May 14; 5th grade (at Industry)-May 17.
